The wind is blowing in love letters from the rain, snow and the moon.
Pick one up and read it.
They are sent to you.
The wind is blowing in from wherever the wind starts.
The sweet breath of spring is on its back.
It blew in my door.
It was dark when I arose.
The moon was hanging on the horizon, full, bright and huge.
I left early for work, simply for the pleasure of watching it set from the hi-way.
That night there was a lunar eclipse.
Before dawn it started snowing.
Silently we entered a world of white.
Red ready cardinal sang at the break of day
A song of spring about sap rising
And how the cold clench of winter was relaxing.
I fell back to sleep- a snow day
Only to wake at the scrape, scrape, scrape of my neighbors shovel
Shoveling my walkway!
Who said good fences make good neighbors?
The red winged blackbirds arrived the day after the snow storm.
They are singing their hearts out in the trees surrounding the marsh, their birthing ground
The marsh reeds are bent over with the wet snow
Usually its the blackbirds that bend them over
But not today
It started snowing again and they raucously sing from the shelter of the trees
The wood pile is buried under a pile of snow. My car wont start.
Nothing to do but watch the snow falling falling gently, silently falling.
Today the willows glowed ocher yellow.
And now as promised the love letter of the rain has arrived.
Its so gentle, this rain that a hush has descended over the land.
Tiny drops, almost a mist falling on the snow covered ground
The roar of the fire in the woodstove is all I can hear.
Blessed be.
Blessed be the weather devas for sending us these love letters.

As a very small child I had 2 "imaginary" friends, Coosie(a girl) and Lammie (a boy). At 2 years of age I used to talk to them. Most of it I don't remember, but my parents did. The only memory I have of them is around age 3. They were sitting on the wallpaper in the kitchen where we lived. That was the last time I saw them. Perhaps it was because I believed my parents that they were imaginary. Now I know them as guides. They grew up with me.

Learning to lead a life for others. When I was a child I only thought about myself- me and mine. When I married and had childern I lived my life for them. Then my husband left and my children grewup and left home. I became very confused and desponant. What was there to live for? All the reasons had left. I heard the phrase "See God in others". I thought Wow!, wish I could do that. It became the goal of my the rest of my life. I dedicated my life to serving others. The route I took became to serve those who are sick and elderly. This was a personal preference. There are many ways, each of them blessed.

The funny thing about what others think is how do you know what they think! Unless they say something about you, how do you know what they think? Most of the time it seems to be us thinking about what others think. That is to say, we're making up some story about what others think. Check your own thoughts. Is it not true?
